The future of the games is not even being paid, is being free and having microtransactions, specially for games with competitive potential like RTS games, that's what Frost Giant Studios is aiming to. I agree, we don't need 3 games about WW2, we need just 1 with all the content.

I've been trying to figure out how to beat all of SC1 without making workers and "True Colors" was genuinely impossible without destroying the terran in the sneak attack phase. Using your strategy I was able to beat the mission and now I can confidently say that there is a CHANCE the run is possible.

One thing to point out is how advanced the AI is. At 55:24 that one Footman realizes the Corpse Yeeter is low on health, and decides it is in his team's best interest to focus on that instead of the full health Crypt Fiends it won't kill anyway.

This just reminded me, of the mission you have to kill the Prometheus Titan, I just got it stuck with the tree god power, and put some arrows into it. Left it there all night while my parents forbid me to keep playing the game

I played the Normandy 1944 mod for COH 1 for years, then it was abandoned... Eventually I saw Blitzkrieg was on steam, so I've been playing that pretty much nightly ever since. Best freaking RTS game ever. I can't believe they went with the red/blue aesthetic for factions. Absolutely ridiculous.

The only thing about WWI era games is that trench warfare can actually be extremely static and part of what I think is awesome about most Relic games is that movement is a big part of them. But, that said they could still make a good game in that setting and just say yeah we made the game more fun than reality, sue us

After 2 hours of COH2, I saw how dogshit that game was and knew COH3 would be worse. Just play the good ww2 RTS, the men of war series.

it’s genuinely fucking criminal they make a game set on the italian mainland, but theres no Italian Army faction you can play as in the multiplayer on launch, or nearly a year later. Not some sparse units tied to the germans, i want a FULL DEDICATED ITALIAN ARMY.

Regarding your point about Relic WW2 RTSs necessarily competing against previous games in the franchise... that is where innovation is suppose to come in. Sequels to great RTSs of yesteryear felt like quantum leaps ahead of previous games in the franchise in terms of gameplay and mechanics. CoH3 needed to include more new mechanics and new gameplay options to differentiate it from CoH2. If a developer keeps releasing the same RTS with the same gameplay and the same mechanics why should fans stay interested?

I think you should really talk about Men of War II now - it seems like a shockingly similar situation to Company of Heroes III... I'm not buying the game right now, so I'd like to have someone do the playing and evaluating for me :P

Just buy Steel Division 2. Just better and more content, better graphics too. A tone of minor factions and countries. It has 10v10 !

Actually, it might even be easier for them to do a Korean War game. A lot of the units would be the same essentially. The missions would be phenomenal too...holding the line against the Chinese invasion, landing at Incheon, Chosin Reservoir, the 5 separate battles of Seoul. There's a lot they could do with it and I can't think of any Korean War games off the top of my head
